Tips For Healthy Halloween Teeth
Halloween is almost here! If your kids are like most they have probably picked out their costume and are ready to indulge on sweet treats. Here are some tips to keep your child’s teeth healthy this Halloween…
Have a good meal prior to trick or treating, this will help suppress your children’s overwhelming urge to eat all the Halloween sweets they collect.
Ensure your child brushes for two minutes first thing in the morning before breakfast and last thing at night. Its advised that children up to the age of 9 should be assisted with their brushing.
Limit when your child has sweets. Saving sweet treats for meal times will reduce the amount of time your child’s teeth are under an acid attack.
Find alternatives to sweets as treats this year. Swap the usual sweets for stickers, vampire teeth, temporary tattoos, pencils, erasers, toothbrushes, sugar-free gum and sugar-free sweets.
