Hygienist Trishna’s Sensitive Toothpaste Tips….
Tooth sensitivity is one of the most common dental problems and can range from getting a mild twinge to severe discomfort that can last several hours.
Keep in mind the following tips if you suffer from the problem and start using sensitive toothpaste:
Don’t rinse after brushing for at least 30 minutes. This allows a thin coating of toothpaste to remain on the teeth and provide the relief it is designed to give you.
Use the toothpaste like an ointment for particularly sensitive teeth. Simply use a pea sized amount of the past and rub onto the affected tooth surface. This can be done at any time even if its a different time to brushing to provide extra relief.
Remember these toothpastes can take anything from a few days to several weeks to take effect so use the toothpaste long term and experiment with different brands till you find the one which works for you.
